I just opened a shop on Zibbet
Jacki of Christiecottage.etsy.com introduced me to Zibbet and I am excited to get going on this adventure. I really love the way that if you are a premium seller you can use different size banners, put your etsy mini in your shop as well as other widgets. I added my twitter as well.
I will be adding items daily to get this place going. It is only 7.00 a month for premium and you get a lot for that 7.00. There are no listing fees or final value fees and lot's of perks making your shop look really nice. I made myself a large banner as you can use different sizes as a premium user. Click on my banner to check it out.

cookies, shawl pins and buttons
I was in a baking mood today although this has been a hectic day. My next batch is m&m cookies. all those ingredients and only 3 dozen. Was hoping for more. So I also made some new shawl pins and buttons. Of course I use 2 separate ovens as I don't want my cookies tasting like polymer clay. Tomorrow is Christmas eve and have yet another batch of cookies to bake and shopping to do .

Today is my son David's 31st birthday
David was actually due December 7th and was in no hurry to come. On the 14th he was still staying put. Well on the 20th the doctor told me that if I didn't go into labor they would put me in the hospital on the 26th to induce. Well on December the 21st I woke up to that first contraction. My dad took me to the doctor and sure enough David was on his way. The doc told me instead of putting me right in the hospital I should go walking. So my dad and I went by my mom's work and when I waddled in she was like "what are you doing here?" She was please to find out I was in labor. So I picked my granny up and we went shopping. we walked and the contractions started getting closer even freaked a few people out in the stores.
Later on that evening I was determined not to get to that hospital to soon as David is my second son and I remembered all to well laying there waiting to have Tommy and was going to go when I had to. We even had out Christmas get together that evening and me contracting every 2 min. every time I made a face everyone would look at their watch. Finally I was convinced that I need to go on to the hospital.
I remember getting there and they ask me what kind of anesthesia I wanted. I said knock me out, they said "we don't do that any more" well that sure wasn't the time to tell me that.
Then I was introduced to the epidural.
At 9:49 that evening not long after getting to the hospital David was born. I got to go home on Christmas eve with the best Christmas present ever and another Christmas party.
Now this picture is a couple of years old of David but I found it last night and we were laughing about the "Harry Potter" glasses so I played some and this is a picture of David with his daughter Emily as the fairy

Attaching letter buttons
Supplies needed, needle and thread ( I use a nylon thread ) and fabric glue.
I also like to use some pretty glass beads to accent the buttons. I decided to use a pocketbook.
I like to start sewing the button on first and after rounds of thread I add the bead. sewing a few more rounds to secure. Now the buttons are rather large and I personally don't want a bunch of holes so after sewing on I then use a fabric glue to secure the button down.
Also remember you can layer buttons, add beads or another button to give it an extra pop!!
If you like the teal button it is available in my shop. Just click on the picture

I spent the day playing some
I had this piece of clip art that was screaming to be played with so I set down and started playing. 1st thing was add color as it is a black and white picture. Then what kind of fun technique to add to it. I really like what I had came up with however what else could I maybe do so I did some virtual paining with virtual painter and gave it 4 more different looks.
Now I printed some on note cards and love them, I am however thinking fabric, for a unique quilt square or an iron on for a shirt or a tote bag

playing with photos
I just love setting here and changing photos and making them different than what they were when I took them. In the picture of Gavyn this picture was actually taken in the mountains of Va way before Gavyn was born.
Then by accident when I was erasing the background of Emily this happened and I liked it so I kept it. I have more that I will share at a later time.
