Now the pumpkin plants are really growing

The pumpkin plants are taking off. I am excited and hoping that by fall we will have some big pumpkins. And the bee balms are showing off as well as the butterfly bush is starting to take off and the cone flowers. I just love flowers that come back year after year, and each year they just get bigger and better. We actually had to take some out and replant in other areas of our yard.

Went to the doc on Wednesday and now wish I hadn't. My blood pressure is up and she feels as if stress is the problem. Then discovered my ear was infected again so got hit with 3 prescriptions and I just don't like taking meds at all. Trying to convince myself that 145/92 isn't really that bad and could always be worse.

Practice makes perfect

Well I have been playing around with my polymer clay and have designed some new buttons, it is amazing at just how versatile polymer clay is and all the fun things you can do with it. I also am determined to figure out how to do the peace sign in polymer clay as I figured out the crochet way.

My pumpkins are still growing like weeds now and have gotton their 4th leaves. I am excited and my bee balms are in full bloom as well as my butterfly bush and some cone flowers. Pictures of those later.

Day Trip to the mountains with mama and granny

Well I feel as if I have been beat up this morning from all the driving but we had a lot of fun. I love the mountains it is my favorite place to go. We shopped and got a few goodies. We went to Boone NC on to Blowing Rock and the Lenoir. I discovered that from Lenior to interstate 40 was going to be the longest way home so after asking around I discovered a short cut back to N Wilksboro and got us back in an hour and a 1/2. We hung out at Blowing Rock for a while me taking pictures and mama and granny setting back eating ice cream and nachos. It was pretty hazy looking at the mountains making picture taking a little hard. Of course I had to snap some flowers they are my fav thing to photograph.

Remembering my daddy

Ah this is not a happy day for me. It is pouring down rain and today marks the 2nd year of my dad's passing. Still at times feels like such a bad dream and I hope to wake to find him still here. My daddy was one of my biggest fans of my crafting and that keeps me going. Knowing how he believed in me and bragged to everyone about the cool stuff that I make helps me keep at it because I know he would want me to keep at it and not give up. He would always say "she has a little extra money look out A C Moore" He even told them at the hospital how creative his daughter was and then told me I should bring some things over there to sale. But he was way to important to me to think about that. He had to come first.
I made my dad his hat when he started chemo. and the picture below was when he was young and it is my daddy and my grandma. I really miss you Daddy

We have germanation

Yey was afraid with all the hard and heavy rains we had right after I planted the seeds that they might rot or get washed away but the pumpkin seeds have germinated and have their 3rd leaves now. However my sunflowers haven't done anything yet so might have to replant those.

I have about 25 bee balms that are starting to open and I can't wait till they all open with the cone flowers and the butterfly bush
