ok so my grandmother has shingle's
Well this was unexpected. She hadn't been feeling good for a couple of day's it was as if she was having flu like symptoms but no fever and then my mom called and said I believe granny has shingles. She has some blisters that have developed. So I went over and I swear some were so big you could see the swelling through her pants, and then when I saw her thigh it was so red and blister looked as if she had scalded herself which I knew she had not. So off to the er to find out what was going on. It is shingle's the doc said. So now she is home Thank God for that, on meds and resting and of course the meds are making her sick to her stomach. I have never seen shingles before but once you do you won't forget it that's for sure.

Etsy Wednesday
So after being on Etsy for 3 years now, what is the secret to getting sales. I don't have an answer to that. Most of us are in the forums a lot making ourselves known but we are however making ourselves know to other crafters and sellers who want the same thing that we do to Sell. I myself have tried so many differant things like I make my own buttons, do photography work and can make and design some pretty cool banners and avatars. What can we do to really grab attention to our items. Apparently sales dosen't work to great, and the free shipping was a flop as well. I am thinking not enough people are seeing our work. Some how there has to be a way to get it out there without haveing to almost give our items away just to get a sale. And when I figure it all out I will let you know but if you already know then please share

ArtFire Tuesday
So last month ArtFire was offering a great special. 5.95 a month for your shop. No listing fees just a flat 5.95 a month. Your shop once you are a preminum seller has all kinds of goodies, like for example you can export your Etsy items there with just a few clicks of a button making listing really easy. Now the thing is no sales and not just my shop. How to get the views, well there are several of us posting our links on twitter to get the views, but no sales. Have we gotton spoiled by the Etsy? I mean the forums there are user friendly and I know I have met a lot of super nice sellers there that have since became friends. Even with all its bells and whistles how can we get noticed and get some sells on ArtFire and well Etsy as far as that goes. How do we reach the non crafter that loves handmade but dosen't know how to make them? I would like to know what comes beyond blogging, twitter, facebook, and flickr.

Bonanza Monday
Selling on three differant sites can get confusing at times. So I have decided to do a blog promo on all the sites. Today it's Bonanza. You can list a lot of differant items there and it's basically free. You set the price. It is a cool site for getting rid of some things you no longer need and there is even a chat window where you can chat with people that are visiting your shop. I like selling my pocketbooks that I don't carry any more and have sucessfully sold a couple. Check out this cool handbag I have there and who knows you might just want to list something there too

my knitting board
I love my little knitting board, It makes a double sided fabric so no blocking is needed, add some granny squares and one of my polymer clay buttons and you have a unique and fun neck warmer.

Tie it in a bow scarf
This is probally one of my favorite scarves I have made. It is so long over 100 inches that you can wrap it around several times or tie it in a bow. Tomorrow will start my Twitter Thursday which means your items that you post will be twitted and you twitter back. That way we all get lot's of great views on our items. There are 5 of us doing this and the one who got it all started was christiecottage.etsy.com. Her blog link will be in here tomorrow as well as the other 3
