Tubeing my photos

What's  tubing?  Well  I work in Paint Sop Pro X2  now  but started back when it was Paint shop pro 7  and have upgraded as I can.  Tubing is when you can take a picture, remove the background, and then export it to you picture tube collection therefore being able to use it over and over again in differant pictures or collages.  I love doing this  and altering pictures  and my son's and grandchildren know it so they never know what to expect, especially if a certain picture suddenly appears on facebook and they know  that's not the original.  They have learned  that I can do some interesting  things with their pics.

So Tommy  my oldest and I were talking the other day and let me tell you he is a computer genius, he can do anything as far as computer work goes, so any way  we got to talking  and we will in the very near future be offering Web designs,  I will be doing the graphics  and he will be doing the rest.  You can have you own web store,  and I can guarantee you it will be amazing.

Picture alterations  is a service I hope to add to my Etsy shop very soon

I don't think we are Beef bourguignon kinda folks

So I followed  this time consuming recipe to the T, had all my ingredients, followed all the steps, and when it finally came down  to hubby and I eating we both looked at each other and agreed all we could really taste was the wine,  now  we are not wine drinkers actually we don't drink at all  so this was kind of a shock to us.
Maybe I used the wrong kinda of wine even though I asked a wine expert at the store what he would suggest to use.
There are several recipes on the web for Beef bourguignon so maybe I choose a bad one as it did call for a whole bottle of wine and for the meat to marinate for 8 hours in wine,  so no wonder it tasted like wine.

I did look up the recipe from Julia Child  and I did see the same ingredients with a couple of exception's 1 being 2 cups of wine not a bottle  and not marinating it for 8 hours.  So should I ever tackle this again  I will follow Julia Child's recipe  and hope I can taste other things besides  the wine.

Scrambling an egg

Now  i like the rest of you have scrambled eggs  for years,  I love a good scrambled egg, and sometimes I will add some milk to the eggs and they are usually pretty good.  However I was watching  Paula Deen  the other day  and she was doing a show on breakfast  and she showed a technique for scrambling an egg  that you just can't beat.  Try this....  break your eggs  into a bowl and instead of milk  use about 2 teaspoon's of water  and a tablespoon of sour cream.  Beat  with a whisk  and scramble in butter  on a med heat.
Now that is a good egg.

Thanks Paula

A tragedy in Stokes County

So I am talking with my mom yesterday morning  and she tells me  that on the news  there was a fire in Stokes county with one fatality.  Well a little while later she calls  to tell me that it was my sisters bother in laws trailer that had burned down, but they were at work.  Well  not long after that  she called back to tell me  that  someone was in the trailer and they didn't make it out.  It was my sister's  sister in law.

What a devastating blow  to hear this.  You hear so much on the news  and think how terrible but when it is someone you know  it takes on a whole new meaning.  The fire started around 5 in the morning  and  went out of  control very quickly.  The entire double wide was burnt to the ground, every thing was destroyed including a young wife and mother and their  cocker spaniel fur baby.

The family is devastated to say the least.  Lots of prayers is needed  and much appreciated.  My niece is so upset at the loss of her aunt, a husband missing his wife  and a daughter missing her mother.  What a tragic way for someone to die, but through the fire  I know Jesus was taking her by the hand  and taking her to paradise

Before and after photo

It is a rare opportunity to see my boys in suits.  So at the viewing of there grandmother, I was able to get some photos  that others has taken of them dressed up, now the one problem was  their dad (my ex) and half brother was in all the pics  and well I just couldn't have that so what to do.  Oh yea  I can erase those 2 right out of the picture.  And erase I did,  now I am not a professional  by no means  but I do know how to get this done.  so here are the finished pictures.  Now you can't always erase some one out of your life  but you can erase them out of a picture

My new years resoulation....Eat More Cheese

Now really  I know it is one I can keep.  We all have others but usually by Feb we are saying well maybe better luck next year and we give up.  So  I am being realistic  and doing one I know I can keep.  I mean you know cheese is good on everything.  My hubby , my son's and myself of course Love cheese, and I am thinking I will try some this year that I have never tried before. So now a recipe share.

I was watching Paula Deen yesterday  and she was doing a show on grilled chicken and grilled potatoes, well I don't have a grill but I was intrigued on the potato technique so I was like now I am going to have to roast these in the oven so how can I kick these things up and then it came to me.  Now Paula's part was this, you wash your potatoes and cut them into 1 inch pieces width wise.  Then you boil them for 6 min  and Paula said only 6 min because you will finish cooking them on the grill or for me in the oven

Gouda and caramelized onion topped potatoes:

Ingredients:

4 baking potatoes
2 large onions
1 block of gouda cheese
1 stick of butter
salt

So after cooking your potatoes for 6 mins you drain the water  and place them on a cookie sheet
Melt some butter in the microwave  and brush the tops with the butter and a little salt.  Place in a 375 degree oven for 15 min
While the potatoes are baking cut you onions  and with a 1/2 stick of butter and a frying pan  you cook the onions on a med heat,  they will soften and turn a light brown.
Take the potatoes out  and flip them adding more butter and salt. for 5 to 10 more min
Take your block of gouda and shred it.

I then took the potatoes out, ad put the cheese  and the caramelized onion on top and placed back in the oven for about 3 min  so the cheese could melt.  Top with sour cream  and my hubby said  they were like little potato steaks.
